Questions from teams who don't have engineers.
Ego Eimi builds, ships, and runs software for companies without a tech team. You get a fixed price, a fixed deadline, and you own everything from the first line of code. Below are direct answers to the questions buyers ask before they start, covering pricing, ownership, security, how AI fits in, and how the work moves from a short audit to a build to an ongoing team.
01 / Start here
If you run a company and software is now critical to it, but you have no one in-house to own that software, you are who we build for.
We work in three steps that control your risk. A short Audit tells you whether to salvage or rebuild and what it would cost. A Forge is the fixed-scope, fixed-price build itself. An Engine is the ongoing team that keeps it running and improving. You can stop after any step. Most questions below map to one of those three.
If you don't see your question, the fastest path is to ask. Start a conversation and we reply within a day with a fixed price and a date.
02 / The questions
Who is Ego Eimi for?
Companies and founders who need real software but have no tech team to build or own it. If software has become critical to your business and you have no engineer in-house to be accountable for it, that is exactly who we build for. We sell certainty and safety, not the cheapest or fastest option.
Do I need any technical knowledge to work with you?
No. We work in plain language and one senior person owns your project end to end. You make the business decisions. We handle the code, the infrastructure, the AI, the security, and the running of it, and we explain every choice in terms you can act on.
How does your pricing work?
Fixed price and fixed deadline. Before a build starts, you know the exact price and the exact date. There is no hourly meter and no open-ended estimate. We reply within a day with a fixed price and a date once we understand the scope.
Is it fixed price or hourly?
Fixed price for builds, never hourly. Hourly billing pushes the risk of delays and overruns onto you. We take that risk instead. The scope, price, and deadline are agreed and signed before work begins, with acceptance criteria written down.
Who owns the code and everything else?
You do, from the first line of code. That means the code, the infrastructure, the repository, the documentation, the AI prompts, the evals, the deployment, and the IP. There is no lock-in. If you ever stop working with us, you keep everything and can hand it to anyone.
What are the three steps: Audit, Forge, and Engine?
The Audit is a one-to-two-week assessment that decides salvage or rebuild, maps risk and security, sets scope, and quantifies ROI. The Forge is the four-to-eight-week build itself: fixed scope, fixed price, fixed deadline. The Engine is the ongoing engineering team that runs and keeps improving the software after launch. You can stop after any step.
What is the Audit and what do I get from it?
The Audit (codename Spark) takes about one to two weeks. You get a salvage-or-rebuild call, a risk, security, and AI-exposure map, a clear scope, signed acceptance criteria, a quantified ROI, and a read on whether we are a fit. The full Audit fee is credited toward a Forge if you go ahead. Learn more on the software audit page.
What is the value guarantee on the Audit?
For pre-screened fits, we find at least ten times the fee in value you agree is real, or the Audit is free. It is a value guarantee, not a vague promise. The bar is value you yourself agree is real, and the Audit fee is also 100% credited to a Forge if you build.
What is the Forge?
The Forge is the build. It runs four to eight weeks with fixed scope, fixed price, and a fixed deadline. The agreed system gets shipped, secure by design, and you own the repo, docs, prompts, evals, and deployment from day one. See the software build page for detail.
What is the delivery guarantee on a Forge?
If the shipped system does not meet the signed acceptance criteria, we remediate it for free. That remediation is time-capped at roughly six weeks. New requests become a change order rather than free work, AI behavior is judged against pre-agreed evals, and delays caused by third parties are excluded. The criteria are written down before we build so there is no argument later.
What happens after launch?
Software is never finished at launch. The Engine is the ongoing engineering team you don't have in-house. It runs the system in production, fixes issues, and keeps improving it, on a recurring basis and multi-year where it makes sense. Security-program ownership and recurring audits live here too. See the engineering team page.
How fast can you start?
We reply within a day with a fixed price and a date. The Audit is short, about one to two weeks, and is the usual starting point. From there a Forge build is four to eight weeks. Exact timing depends on scope, which the Audit pins down.
What kind of software do you build?
Web applications, mobile apps for iOS and Android, AI systems, automation, and the infrastructure to run them. We have 30 shipped case studies across fintech, healthcare, e-commerce, Bitcoin, supply chain, marketing, and operations. You can browse the case studies to see the range.
Do you build MVPs?
We build the system you actually need, shipped and running, not a throwaway prototype. The Audit defines the smallest scope that delivers real ROI, and the Forge ships it as production software you own. If that scope is a first version, fine, but it is built to run in production, not to be discarded.
How do you use AI in the work?
One senior person owns the work and writes the evals. AI does the building under that judgment. This means more tests, better documentation, and catching the vulnerabilities that AI itself can introduce. The senior is accountable, the AI is a tool, and AI behavior is held to evals agreed up front.
I already have code. Can you work with it?
Yes. That is what the Audit is for. We make a salvage-or-rebuild call on your existing codebase, map its risks and security exposure, and tell you honestly whether it is worth keeping or cheaper to rebuild. You get that answer before committing to a build.
How do you handle security?
Secure-by-design is the standard on every build, and AI introduces its own vulnerabilities that we actively catch. We make you audit-ready against a framework such as SOC 2 or ISO 42001, and recurring security and AI-governance program ownership lives in the Engine. To be clear, we make you audit-ready, we do not promise you will never be attacked or breached.
Can you guarantee we won't be breached?
No, and anyone who promises that is not being honest. We make your software audit-ready against a recognized framework, which is bounded and insurable as technology errors-and-omissions. We remove technical and ROI uncertainty. We do not remove your business responsibility, and no one can guarantee you will never be attacked.
What do the two guarantees actually cover?
The value guarantee covers the Audit: for pre-screened fits, at least ten times the fee in value you agree is real, or it is free. The delivery guarantee covers the Forge: free remediation against the signed acceptance criteria, time-capped at about six weeks. One principle sits behind both: we remove technical and ROI uncertainty, not business responsibility.
Where do you work, and what language?
We are based in the US, in Florida, and we work worldwide. Engagements are English-first. The founder, Felipe Telles, has scaled startups to Series A and beyond, advised companies including eBay, and exited twice.
What results have you delivered?
Real shipped builds include Founderpath, which deployed over $180M in non-dilutive capital to 500-plus SaaS founders with 99.97% uptime; Shoperator AI, the engine behind 534K-plus Shopify ads at $50K MRR; and AI Employee, which cut administrative hours 70% and tripled customer-service throughput. Personal Fit holds 4.9 out of 5 across 5,000-plus App Store reviews. See the case studies for the full set.
