Which service should I start with?
Almost everyone starts with the Audit. It is two to eight weeks, low cost, and tells you the truth about your situation and the plan before you commit to a build. The fee is credited 100% to a Forge if you go forward, so starting there costs you nothing if you build.
Do I have to buy all three services?
No. Each rung stands on its own and you can stop at any point. The Audit can end with a clear plan you take elsewhere, a Forge can ship and hand over clean, and the Engine is only for teams that want us running the software long term. Nothing locks you in.
What does the Audit fee cover, and is it really credited back?
The Audit fee buys a risk, security, and AI-exposure map, a clear scope, signed acceptance criteria, and quantified ROI. If you move to a Forge build, 100% of the Audit fee is credited to that build. For pre-screened fits, the value guarantee applies: we find at least 10x the fee in value you agree is real, or the Audit is free.
How are price and timeline fixed if software is unpredictable?
The Audit is what makes a fixed Forge possible. We only quote a fixed price and a fixed date after the Audit has pressure-tested the plan and you have signed the acceptance criteria. The Forge is judged against those criteria, and AI behavior is judged against pre-agreed evals, so both sides know exactly what done means.
What do I own?
Everything. From the first line of code you own the repo, infrastructure, docs, prompts, evals, deployment, and IP. There is no platform you cannot export and no retainer you cannot leave. We can keep running it through an Engine engagement, or hand it over clean.
