PricingThe model, the credit, the guarantees

How pricing works at Ego Eimi.

Ego Eimi prices by the engagement, not the hour. You get a fixed price and a date before any code, the audit fee is credited in full to your build, and two written guarantees stand behind it. We do not publish rates, because the right number depends on your scope, and the only honest number comes after a short audit. Whatever you start with, you own the repo, the code, and everything around it from day one, with no hourly billing and no change orders you did not approve.

01 / How each step is priced

Pick the step that matches where you are.

Most clients start with an Audit, then move to a Forge build. The Engine is for teams that want us running software with them month to month.

ServiceHow it is pricedTimeWhat you getGuarantee
Audit / Spark A small fixed fee, credited 100% to a build ~1-2 weeks A clear plan, fixed scope, a price, and a date for the build, plus the findings. Value guarantee: for pre-screened fits, if we do not find at least 10x the fee in value you agree is real, it is free.
Forge / Build One fixed price for the agreed scope 4-8 weeks A fixed scope shipped to a committed deadline at one agreed price. You own the repo from line one. Delivery guarantee: free remediation against signed acceptance criteria, capped at about six weeks. AI judged on pre-agreed evals.
Engine / Team A monthly retainer Ongoing An embedded team that designs, builds, and runs software with you, month to month. Same standards, same ownership. You can pause or stop, and you keep everything.

02 / Why fixed price

We quote one price for one agreed scope, with a date both sides commit to.

Hourly billing pays the builder more the longer the work runs. Your budget and the builder's invoice end up pulling in opposite directions, and you are left judging whether the hours were well spent. Without a tech team, that is a judgment you cannot fairly make. A fixed price moves the risk of going over to us, where it belongs.

That price is not a guess. Before any build, the Audit pins down the scope, the integrations, the data and security needs, and the acceptance criteria. The number is grounded in a real plan, which is why we can commit to it. If the work takes longer than planned, that is ours to absorb, not a bigger invoice for you.

What is credited

The Audit or Spark fee is credited in full to a Forge build. You do not pay for the planning twice. If you decide not to build, you keep the plan and the findings, with no further obligation. The audit earns its place either way.

New asks during a build are handled as priced change orders. You see the cost and decide before we proceed, so the scope you signed stays the scope you pay for. No hidden fees, no surprises on the invoice. Compare the two models in detail in fixed-price vs hourly.

03 / What's always included

The same terms, whatever band you start in.

These are not add-ons or upsells. They hold across the Audit, the Forge, and the Engine.

04 / Common questions

Is the audit fee really credited to the build?

Yes. If you go on to a Forge build, the full Audit or Spark fee is credited against that build. The audit is not a separate sales cost you pay twice. It is the first paid step of the work, and if you build with us, you only ever pay for it once. If you decide not to build, you keep the audit findings and the plan, with no further obligation.

Why don't you bill by the hour?

Hourly billing pays the builder more the longer the work takes, which puts your budget and our incentives on opposite sides. It also asks you to judge whether the hours were well spent, which is hard without a tech team. We quote one fixed price for one agreed scope, so you plan around a real number and the risk of going over sits with us. See fixed-price vs hourly for the full reasoning.

What if I only want the audit, not a build?

That is fine. The Audit and Spark stand on their own. You walk away with a clear plan, a fixed scope, a price, and a date for the build, plus whatever findings we surfaced. There is no pressure to continue. If you do build later, the fee is credited then. For pre-screened fits, the value guarantee applies: if we do not find at least ten times the fee in value you agree is real, the audit is free.

What drives the build price?

Scope drives it. The number of features, how the system connects to other tools, data and security requirements, and how much is genuinely new versus well-trodden. The Audit is where we pin all of that down, which is why a Forge price is grounded in a real plan rather than a guess. Most builds ship in four to eight weeks on a single fixed price set after the audit. You can sanity-check the math against expected return with the ROI calculator.

Do I own everything?

Yes, from the first line of code. The repo, source code, infrastructure, docs, prompts, evals, and deployment are yours from day one. There is no vendor lock-in, nothing held back, and nothing to claw back later. If you ever stop working with us, you keep a system you fully control and could hand to any other team.

How do payments work?

The Audit or Spark is paid up front and is credited to a build if you continue. A Forge build is a fixed price tied to the signed scope, typically split across milestones rather than billed by the hour, so payments line up with progress. The Engine is a monthly retainer for an embedded team. New asks during a build are handled as priced change orders you approve before we proceed. No hidden fees and no surprises on the invoice.
